Checking In...

Sorry haven't blogged much lately on top of trying to pack, prep for moving, and getting ready to start a new job next month things have been kind of crazy never the less.  To make things more difficult or should I say insane haha my poor laptop died and I temporarily had already put my Cox service on vacation/hold to not only help save some money but I find that it's easier to move when you do so.  At least for me I find that they connect it faster that way to a new place.  So for the time being I had just reactivated my wireless usb modem from my cell carrier for internet access.  Which isn't the fastest in the world and almost nearly impossible for me to watch YouTube videos and all but hey it's something right?

But the good thing is i'm nearly done packing just have to wait for the papers to be finalized and the checks to be deposited after and i'll have the keys to the new place yay!!  So over the next several days i'll go ahead and blog as much as I can and schedule the posts so that during the day when i'm getting things done and sometimes at night when the modem decides to be faster i'll have posts up for you guys.  New beginnings i'm so excited can't wait!

Oh and first case of business i've not only decided to start a pan project but i'm going to do some smart shopping and budgeting with maybe a treat every other month or every so often.  Reason being?  Well not just because trying to recover from feeling the recession but as a good long term investment i'm going to finally save up for not a PC but going to get me a MacBook Pro.  I would love the 17 inch but if anything the 15 inch is a great buy.  I know it's a difference of about $1100 but if you look at the specs you also get your money's worth.  Though i'd love to hear from any and all who have MacBook Pros which model do you?  Satisfied with yours?  Think the difference in price is worth getting the better?

Great Week...

Just wanted to have an update post on my life.  I've been packing and cleaning my current place like crazy being i've been looking for a new place and new job.  Well one of the two so far has given me fab news!  Found out almost 2 days ago that the place I was really hoping for came through!  YAY haha it'll be so convenient for me hopefully getting the new job I have a good feeling about.  Plus it's in a great neighborhood, closer to family and some friends, and down the street from Jamba Juice!  Haha right now the scheduled move in date is the first week of September but I hope to move in sooner if possible.

The job sounds like it's going on a great path too.  I was able to gather a good amount of references and they all responded so fast to the HR dept THANKS a bunches you guys!  I can't thank you enough for being so great and helping support me through this... really to everyone!  Just waiting for some paperwork to be cleared and we'll see :) should be any day now.

MAJOR news on a upcoming West Coast Tour for my cousin-in-law [really brotha from another motha haha] David Muñoz, congrats to him so proud of you!  Check him out at www.DavidMunozMusic.com woot woot LOL.  Dano Artist Management which is run by his wife my close cousin, Tanya Dano Munoz, is another amazing one she's made so much amazing accomplishments and I really look up to her and respect her for it all, especially just being who she is.  Tanya and Dave you both are truly my uber Rockstars!

Fun Old Looks

I was editing some pictures for I had uploaded and came across these two looks I did back around April I think.  I don't really remember everything I used except that the shadows were all from my 120 Manly Blusher Palette from eBay and the mascara was Maybelline's XXL in Intense Volum + Length.  Both looks were inspired by YouTube gurus like xsparkagex and all that Allthatglitters21 amongst others who did Horoscope look series and like Disney inspired themes.  Hope you like it just thought it'd post it up and share.

Mayhem & Coming Contest

Things have been so crazy the past few days but with good mixed in as well.  So i've mentioned several times that i'm in the process of new job and new place.  I talked to the realtor of the condo I wanted to move into and yay things worked out great so that'll be happening very soon :)  Now just waiting on the job part I hope I hear back for that this week as well!

I've been packing and cleaning like crazy it's ridiculous.  To make it all worse I got sick over the weekend with a crazy stomach flu like bug still trying to recoop from it blah.  Happy to announce that the prizes i've been waiting for finally came in so once i've moved i'll get all the prizes seperated and have the contest.  Don't wanto to give too much away but there will be 3 winners chosen and it'll be open to international participants as well.  Yay!  It'll be my first official contest/giveaway so I want to make it good :)

Also while with everything going on I am trying to get back to my duties for DanoAM.com and DMM.com man I need to revise my schedule for efficient time management.  Anyways just wanted to do a quick update.  I've decided to also go ahead and post some pics and initial thoughts/reviews on things i've won and bought over the past several months.  To help get things out and going plus i'm so random that I know when I really love a product i'm going to do a raving blog review about it later haha.  Hand in hand with the good the truth will also come the harsh truth, sorry but I won't sugar coat things even if it's being sponsored.  Yes I know everything works different for everyone but just because I won or was sponsored for a review or giveaway of a product I won't say yeah it's great go get it just because.  Honesty and straight forwardness is the only way I like to go when it comes to reviews whether i'm giving it or getting it from another.

Fair warning to everyone as well i'm not going to only do the top brands I believe dynamite comes in all packages no matter how big or small the price is on it.  Plus i've used some from both worlds and believe me there's some great cheap dups out there, especially if you're hitting hard times or want to put your money towards other things like traveling and so on.  Plus where I would love to buy the more top of the line brands all the time I just don't have the funds for it, at least not right now.  But if you'd like to request a review especially a comparison review by all means contact me and i'll make it a point to specially get the products for that :)

Shoes and Shoes and Shoes... Oh My!!!!

I saw this lovely shoe over on A New Mode's latest blog and just was IN LOVE!! I love bold and beautiful color especially when it comes to shoes, tops and accessories :) Well I found myself the other weekend at the crazy Kohl's Power Hour special on top of the insanely awesome low prices to begin with... yet again! I came across these cute pair of Candie's fringed t-strap heels:

Sadly I made myself squeeze into them and by the time I slipped my poor feet out of them the bad boys were pretty much dying on me. But I did come across to a similar looking heel over at Zappos that looks much more comfy and something that would pretty much work with my short yet slightly wide high arched feet haha! I love fashion but it's one thing i've noticed with all shoes from the past up until now that i've purchased or craved... fringed, rouched, bright bold, or dubbed with straps galore is going to be my kind of style for eternity. What can I say that's just me. I used to be a wedge girl most of my life and sneak in some pairs of stilettos but i've really started braching away from the wedge aka comfort zone LOL!

Hmmmm I wonder what my favor styles are at the present moment. There was one pair of heels that I came across towards the end of my Kohl's visit that just made me go bananas. It was a gorgeous pair from ELLE, yes I know go figure ^_^ They're just a shiek yet classic set of heels but it's one of those shoes that once you slip them on they're like GOLD! I swear they were SO comfortable and I have to say without being biased because I wanted them so bad they truly did transform my feet into some hot puppies. What does this wonderous pair of shoes look like? Take a look...

I know you're probably thinking o.0 something like, umm Trish are you forreal? But I swear to you they are heavenly and beautiful and you can ask Sherri had they had my size and had my budget allowed it I would have been in line ready to go satisified walking out with just these bad boys haha! Here's another sad fact of me when it comes to shoes, heels specifically. I usually don't like to go 4 inches let alone higher. I have probably the worse balance and coordination when it comes to heels so putting me higher up in the air is not always a pretty sight, great laugh none the less haha! Plus this is the strange thought I struggle with. I'm like 5'5" or 5'4.5" haha something along those lines. For some reason when I slip on 4" heels or something with more height I feel like i'm WAY too tall. I know it's because i'm short and used to sticking around my height. Funny thing is I think 5'8" or 5'9" is a great height to be for a gal. LOL *shrugs* anyways!

I've been using some products I was honored enough to win from different giveaways and contests so i'll be posting those reviews up soon. Love to share hauls not in a bragging kind of way but it's always nice and fun to see new or unknown products to yourself that others have been raving about or dying to try. Only thing that sucks is if it's something you/they have never tried it's not really helpful for a review or quick thoughts unless you've used it a few times. Which is why I have been so late on these reviews not going to give a raving review just because I won, bought or was given it you know? I have to say though i've been using LashFood for about a month now and not only saw results rather quick but still see the benefits and just love it! Can't wait to do a review for you on that which is coming up in the very near future just have to find my "before" picture of the lashes. Alrighty it's about 2AM and i'm pooped as well as need to get back on a "normal" sleeping schedule so until next time have a great one!

Great Interviews...

What a long weekend and start of the week but a WONDERFUL day it was!  Went in for some interviews for a job and looks and sounds great *^_^ Super excited because it's an AMAZING company to work for and i'm so honored to even get as far as I have!!

So much to talk about so many reviews coming up I know I know I keep talking about it haha.  Waiting for some more items to come in and I need to pick up so I can get a contest going :) I think I'll just sit down over the next couple of days since i've got all the photos together for the reviews and just bump them out and set them up to be automatically posted on dates and times desired.  Makes it easier for me and don't want you guys to be bored here haha.

Monday Madness

Hope everyone's weekend was fantastic!  And your week goes even better  *^_^

So it's been a little tiring having to sacrifice so much and pushing through to get to where I want to be in life.  But who says life was going to be easy and why would I want things handed so easy to me?  I've always been the type to love being rewarded for my blood, sweat, and tears and it could be because of the life i've lived.  But in any case I know that my working hard now will mean great accomplishments and playing hard later!!  So to those struggling to get to your goals, dreams, and trying to do things amazing for you in life hats off to us all!

Well sorry for no review today I was extremely busy prepping for a BFF from high school coming into town and becoming a possible roomie :) plus i'm studying for a job skill test and possible interview tomorrow!  Keeping my fingers crossed would be a wonderful job to have with a great company!  Plus I would be working with an old friend again which would be nice right about now :) I'm also waiting on which place we will be calling home.

But I do have other items that have come in and are to arrive so I can do more reviews yay!  Thanks to Luanne Storer my Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant was nice enough to send my perfume samples I requested along with other goodies for reviews.  Along with mascaras, foundations, eyeshadows, fix +, and so much more!

MAC Brush Cleanser

So I used the MAC Brush Cleanser the first time tonight, I actually remembered haha.

Before I start the review just to let you know you can buy it HERE on MAC's website for just $11 before tax.

So i'm a rather newbie to MAC Cosmetics and let me tell you i'm LOVING it all! I can't wait to get me more, especially the brushes! Now before MAC Brush Cleanser I always heard about different ways to clean your brushes whether it was spot or deep cleaning and of course with the different products. Such as Baby Shampoo, Moisturizing Soap, MAC Brush Cleanser, with and without the different brush cleaning jars and all that. I always used a moisturizing soap with either my palm or on a good handwash towel. I thought hey it's cheap it gets the job done I don't need any of the fancy stuff right now. Those of you who have use MAC Brush Cleanser and especially those of you who love it KNOW what I mean when I say "Ah MAZING" haha.

Seriously I mean no joke it no only cleans many brushes with a small amount but in a jiffy. I hated slaving over the sink EVERY time I cleaned my brushes especially since I didn't prefer using soap and water for just spot cleaning. I hoped on YouTube tonight and searched "how to clean brush with MAC Brush Cleaner" and I saw MakeupByTiffanyD's video. I thought I really like this it's simple, fast, efficient, and I don't feel like heading to the sink again haha! I was kind of skeptical on how fast it would work I seriously thought oh geeze for the 30 brushes I have to clean i'm going to be going through lots of paper towel. I'm in the middle of packing for a move transition which many of you have read in my other posts and so paper towels was the best thing and in a way more sanitary anyways.

Honestly no joking I ended up cleaning my 30 brushes in less than 10 minutes and with only 3 paper towels this are the thicker paper towel sheets but just 3 SHEETS! We're not just talking about the actual cleaning but wiping it dry as well. I'm still so in shock but very happy. You're probably woundering what in the world woman 30 why so many?! Hahaha well since i've been cleaning I skipped makeup application for almost a week and a half now and well honestly I was too lazy and tired by the time I had spare time to clean them so they were just put off. Plus I found other brushes while cleaning and received brushes with items I go in the mail so it was also like a "get it clean before first use/first time in a long time use" which i'll do especially since they're in a brush holder but still exposed to the enviroment so I like to clean even the brushes I haven't used every once in a great while too. Anyways I kid you not when I say that even my cheapo brushes have never been as clean, soft, and healthy looking as they have since I used this cleanser! It does dry so fast but of course if you applied alot of product on the towel in one place you'll notice that your brushes are very damp so it'll take longer to dry instead of using it the right way and have pretty much instant dryness.

I'll make sure to remember to take pictures next time or even just video myself doing it but you can watch TiffanyD and many others on YouTube do the same process in their videos online if you search for it. It's a great bang for your buck and time. I don't know about you but I don't have time to sit around and hunch over the sink all the time and not only take the time to wet the brushes them get the soap in my palms than stroke the brushes clean than rerinse and make sure that they are laid out right and wait overnight or a whole day. It's very time consuming and I don't have enough of each type of brush to wait around to get cleand and lets not forget the time it takes to reshape them. Whoever was the person/crew to create the formula BIG props and hugs to you, you're my rockstar[s]!!

You only need maybe two quarter size of product on the paper towel to get a good cleaning going for at least 4 or 5 brushes on each side of the towel especially if you fold the towel in two twice so basically half once and half again. Don't squeeze the bottle just tilt it on the towel after opening and a good amount will pour out so be careful. Take a brush and brush it back and forth not in circles because you don't want to damage the brissels. In a matter of seconds your brush will not only be clean but it'll shine healthy and be wonderfully conditioned. Wait a minute after cleaning and it should be well dry that you can use it immediately if you must.

Now here's the funny part mind you it's almost 3AM and over the past week i've on average crashed for bed at 6AM and slept maybe 4 hours if lucky before I had to get up and get the day going. Trying to clean, pack, job and house hunt, and especially get ready for a BFF visiting maybe living with for awhile just demanded more of my energy and time than sleepland. Yes I need more hours in the day to work! LOL what can I say I like to start and finish a job/project ASAP. So I was a clutz and was walking across my back room to my room to put the cleanser back on my vanity. The bottle wasn't snap shut good and when the bottle accidentally dropped my product came dripping out, well it does pour out a nice amount even if you don't squeeze it remember that! Well it so happened that an old pet stain from the previous residents is where some of the product spilled on.

I kind of panicked because with some cleaning products it'll turn the carpet a different color not just temporarily but permanently. So I ran to grab a paper towel blotted the area and gently scrubbed to make sure as much of the cleanser was lifted as soon as possible. Much to my surprise it cleaned the stain completely and better than the carpet cleaning products I used on it to try and get it out! Here's what's funnier because it's so tough on cleaning yet conditioning it took out the smell and the carpet spot in some areas when you look at it actually shines like the healthy hair on the brushes you clean. LOL now there's a good laugh and yet funny fact!

So I give it a 8/5

+ Does exactly everything it claims to
+ Has no scent
+ Gives brushes a wonderful sheen shine
+ Even cleans pet stains!
+ Nice price tag for the amount of product you get $11
